Drugs in the Workplace

Michelle Kelly, Director of Adult and Vocational Services at Anazao Community Partners (ACP), will be delivering a presentation on the pressing topic of drugs in the workplace. With the recent legalization of marijuana in Ohio, employers are grappling with new challenges and responsibilities concerning substance use policies and enforcement. Michelle, drawing on her extensive expertise, including 13 years at ACP, and various roles in Wayne and Holmes Counties since 1996, will address the evolving landscape of substance use issues in professional settings. She will delve into warning signs of substance use, practical strategies for identifying and addressing them, and the vital importance of connecting individuals with appropriate services.

Orrville Area Safety Council monthly lunch and learn meetings will be held the second Wednesday of each month at The University of Akron Wayne College, 1901 Smucker Road, Orrville. The agenda will be 11:30am lunch buffet followed by noon meeting and educational session.
