Proactive employee training in Basic Life Support (BLS) is critical because the unexpected can happen!
It's an investment employers hope they will never need to use, but it's one that everyone should make. Preparedness in any workplace emergency situation is vital. John Shull, owner, Shull Medical Educators, will present an overview of the clinical guidelines for the urgent and emergent treatment of life-threatening cardiovascular conditions that will cause or have caused cardiac arrest, using advanced medical procedures, medications, and techniques. Shull will also provide suggestions for how to implement a BLS training program for your employees.

Orrville Area Safety Council monthly lunch and learn meetings will be held the second Wednesday of each month at The University of Akron Wayne College, 1901 Smucker Road, Orrville. The agenda will be 11:30am lunch buffet followed by noon meeting and educational session.

Eric White is a Construction Safety Consultant for the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, Division of Safety & Hygiene. Mr. White has been with the Division for 20 years and in the safety field for 22 years. Prior to coming to work for the Division of Safety & Hygiene Mr. White held positions with the Mechanical Contractors’ Association, Honda of America, OHM Corporation and worked many years as a carpenter. He holds a BS in Environmental Hazardous Materials Management from the University of Findlay.
