Sleep Deprivation and the Effects on Everyday Life



The damage from sleep deficiency can happen in an instant (such as a car crash), or it can harm you over time. For example, ongoing sleep deficiency can raise your risk of some chronic health problems. It also can affect how well you think, react, work, and learn.

Dr. Robert Sibilia, M.D. will talk about sleep deprivation and the effects on everyday life.

Orrville Area Safety Council monthly lunch and learn meetings will be held the second Wednesday of each month at The University of Akron Wayne College, 1901 Smucker Road, Orrville. The agenda will be 11:30am lunch buffet followed by noon meeting and educational session.


The meeting will conclude at 1pm.The Orrville Area Safety Council is sponsored by the Orrville Area Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation Division of Safety & Hygiene and Massillon WestStark Chamber of Commerce, to provide Ohio employers with access to occupational safety and health, workers' compensation and risk management education, networking, and resource sharing.
