This roadmap has assisted the corporation to define and implement the safety practices that benefit all Bekaert locations worldwide and ultimately, lead to better safety performance and a true safety culture.. Andrew Whited serves as a member of the Bekaert North America Leadership Team and Global Safety Health & Environmental Team. He led the successful implementation of “BeCare” at Bekaert Orrville and continues to drive the organization in embedding the ambition of fostering an interdependent caring culture.

Regional Safety Health & Environmental Manager at Bekaert Corporation

Andrew serves as a member of the Bekaert North America Leadership Team and Global Safety Health & Environmental Team. He led the successful implementation of “BeCare” at Bekaert Orrville and continues to drive the organization in embedding the ambition of fostering an interdependent caring culture.

Andrew is a graduate from The University of Akron, with Bachelor of Science degrees in Criminal Justice and Technology, Emergency Management and Homeland Security, with certificates in Fire Protection and Geographic Information System Mapping Technology. He is currently living in Wadsworth, OH with his wife and three children.

The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation Division of Safety and Hygiene will present awards in the following categories: - Group Award (for the lowest incident in each group) - 100 Percent Award (for each company that worked the entire year without a lost-time injury), - Achievement Award (for each company that decreased its incident rate by at least 25 percent from the previous year) - Special Award (for each company that has accumulated at least 500,000 hours and operated at least six months without a lost-time injury within a year).
