Feasting with family, friends and co-workers is part of many holiday celebrations. Participants will learn simple tips to help prevent food poisoning, or foodborne illness during the holidays.
Bobbi Randall, registered dietitian and certified diabetes care and education specialist, Aultman Orrville Hospital, will share her insights on the Five Second Rule and other myths associated with holiday entertaining at the November 10 meeting of the Orrville Area Safety Council.
In addition to the educational webinar, the Orrville Area Safety Council monthly meeting will include:
- Updates from the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation.
- Spotlight on an Ohio BWC program or service.
The Orrville Area Safety Council is presented in partnership with the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation and Orrville Area Chamber of Commerce.
Speakers
Bobbie Randall, RD, LD, CDCES has been in food service for more than 5 decades. Starting as a carhop in the 1960s she worked her way to become a registered dietitian and certified diabetes care and education specialist. Food safety is as much a concern to her as food quality.
Eric White is a Construction Safety Consultant for the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, Division of Safety & Hygiene. Mr. White has been with the Division for 20 years and in the safety field for 22 years. Prior to coming to work for the Division of Safety & Hygiene Mr. White held positions with the Mechanical Contractors’ Association, Honda of America, OHM Corporation and worked many years as a carpenter. He holds a BS in Environmental Hazardous Materials Management from the University of Findlay.
