The First Report of Injury, or "FROI-1," is the first step in filing an Ohio Workers' Compensation claim. It notifies the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation (Ohio BWC) that a workplace injury has occurred and starts the workers' compensation claim process. Without one, there is no workers' compensation claim.

As a Regional business consultant, Scott is responsible for working with individual companies on risk management strategies, education, and awareness to help lower
costs and prevent injuries. He partners with Chambers of Commerce and various business and civic associations to help educate employers on compensation issues and to promote awareness of workers’ compensation improvements. Scott also
works with various agencies to assist with business expansion and retention in Ohio.
Eric White is a Construction Safety Consultant for the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, Division of Safety & Hygiene. Mr. White has been with the Division for 20 years and in the safety field for 22 years. Prior to coming to work for the Division of Safety & Hygiene Mr. White held positions with the Mechanical Contractors’ Association, Honda of America, OHM Corporation and worked many years as a carpenter. He holds a BS in Environmental Hazardous Materials Management from the University of Findlay.
